The core skills required of every individual training to be a Search and Rescue Professional do not vary across specialties. However, things look different to a searcher on horseback. No doubt about it. NASAR's Mounted SAR Standards Task Force is, therefore, working to develop recommendations for national standards specific to Mounted Search and Rescue. These recommendations will be provided to ASTM's Committee on Search and Rescue (F-32) for action.
