Each year at the NASAR conference, we pay tribute to some of the world's finest
search and rescue professionals. We will continue that tradition at SAR 2005.
The NASAR Board of Directors is now accepting applications and nominations for
its awards.
Eligible recipients for the NASAR Awards Program include SAR teams, government
organizations, individuals, youth. Awards are given for volunteer service, valor,
professional/technical contributions to the field, etc.

When will the awards be presented?
Awards are presented during the Opening Ceremony at the NASAR annual conference.
The event will be held
Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Oakland Marriot City Center in Oakland, CA.
Will NASAR pay for the winners to attend the ceremony?
NASAR has limited funding available for certain awards categories, but does not
fund each award recipient.
Does the award winner have to be present at the conference in order to receive
the award?
If the recipient is unable to attend the ceremony, the award will be shipped
to the person or organization that submitted the nomination. It is our hope that
the award recipient will be acknowledged in a public presentation conducted locally.
