| Ball Crazy 2 yr old Yellow Lab Mix PoL Slugger Stats: Breed: Yellow Lab Mix Age: About 2 years Weight: ~65lbs Personality: I LOVE you very much...spend time with me and play ball Drive: Loves tennis balls, is very focused on his handler and needs someone to be his fulltime coach. Slugger is truely tennis ball focused and this will be a great reward system for anyone. He has started playing a little tug in his foster home. He does have basic commands and gets along well with other dogs. Here is a quote from his foster home, "He plays well with my 2 pups (a BC and a lab mix) so I would say he is excellent with other dogs. He loves playing ball with me over playing with the other dogs; however, does enjoy playing chase and wrestling with them too." He enjoys sleeping on your bed and would prefer that to sleeping in a crate at night. However, this is something he is working on. Slugger is a large boy and for this reason we would like to see him placed in a home for wilderness SAR or HRD/Cadaver. He's just too big for disaster work. | Grace - 1 year old yellow lab Breed: yellow Lab Age: About 1 year Weight: ~50lbs Personality:Checks everything out with her nose and is busy busy busy.... Drive: Is a very social girl and is a typical lab. She believes anything is a toy and will play tug. Grace was found several months ago wandering the streets as a stray. She was practically dead due to starvation and spent the next several months in a foster home putting on some weight before she could even be temperament tested. She is very bright and learns quickly, sometimes to a human's chagrin since what you wanted to teach her and what she learned are not the same thing. She also posses the idea that everything is edible, I believe this is due to the fact that she spent so long hungry. She is almost frantic when around new people but will settle down with a little encouragement. She gets along well with other dogs and does not bother the cat. | High drive puppy I have a male, mixed breed (has Catahoula in him) puppy who was born August 29. His mother was a rescue. This puppy has intense prey drive, and is very friendly and confident and has LOTS of enthusiasm. Due to his high level of drive I am looking for a working home for this dog. He is black and white and I expect him to be 80 lbs when fully grown. I live on the border of Michigan near Detroit, however I would be willing to drive a considerable distance or arrange shipping. The puppy was born in my home and I have handled them since birth. He has all vetting done, dewormed, 2 sets of shots, microchip and will be neutered. | Australian Red Borde Collie and Golden Mix Puppies The dad is an Australian Red Border Collie and is 10 years old but is as fit as a 5 year old - these pups have a great life expectancy and physical tolerance. (He is a “strong-eyed” herder.) The mom is a Golden Retriever with strong instinct and attentiveness and will search all day long for hidden treasures. They had 10 babies born on September 12, 2007. They are very smart, healthy, and we are making note of their individual personalities to better match them with the right person. They respond extremely well to our voice and are already learning simple commands like “sit” “give me your paw” and most importantly, “wait”. We will keep up to 4, but need to find loving, working homes for the rest. We will do whatever we can to get these pups to good homes, but will require email updates with photos so we know our pups are in good hands. Also, if you can no longer keep the dog for any reason, you MUST contact us so we can ensure the dog does NOT end up in a cage all day or end up tied outside all the time. These pups need a lot of love and attention and we want to make sure they get it. | Young, Strong Border Collie/German Shepherd Mix Rocco is a two year old male and weighs about 65 pounds. He's physically fit, extremely intelligent and needs a challenge. | German Shorthaired Pointer Female GSP 8 mos. This female has been started in basic obedience and is good at sit, down, and healing on-lead. She is very attentative while working. She has started working on stays and can maintain short stays (longer when on a down stay than on a sit stay). She is very agile and is a problem solver. She has been crate trained. She has been exposed to woods and urban settings and has been socialized with other dogs as well as children and adults. She has been temperment tested as a puppy and results are available. She has a very people-pleaser personality. She is also moderate to high on toy drive. In her obedience work, high praise will make her excell at her work. She shows signs of being a air-scenter. She prefers to air-scent over working a trail, although she will use her nose if it is required. This puppy will only be placed in a working home (meaning you need to be an active member of a SAR team and/or law enforcement). Social and friendly, rock solid nerves, environmentaly sound. Very high hunting/searching drives.
